03 / Engineering documents

Request the right documentation.

Document availability and qualification scope depend on the selected product and configuration.

For valve specification

  • Product brochure and operating information
  • Dimensions, materials and configuration details
  • Applicable test reports and certification scope
  • Relevant field-reference information

For an MTE™ application

  • Product overview and tool arrangement
  • Flange and bolt-pattern compatibility review
  • Demonstration and tightening-procedure information

Please include the product, size, pressure class and intended service so we can identify the relevant material.

Common questions

Before you specify.

How does the valve separate rotation from sealing?

The sealing elements retract before the ball rotates. After the ball reaches the closed position, the internal mechanism loads the sealing elements against the stationary main seats. This separates movement from the application of sealing force.

Which qualifications apply to my valve?

Available qualification information includes API 6D, fire and fugitive-emissions testing and applicable Canadian CRN registrations. Ask our team to confirm the scope, product configuration and documentation relevant to your project.

Can one valve meet our isolation procedure?

The answer depends on the operator’s isolation definition, verification method and applicable requirements. Share your procedure and service conditions so the proposed arrangement can be reviewed.

What is needed to review an MTE™ application?

Provide the flange standard and size, pressure class, number and size of bolts, gasket, target bolt load or tightening requirement, available clearance and preferred drive method.
