Discover how Model Y integrates two solid metal plates within one valve body to make blind-plate isolation as convenient as valve operation. We welcome discussions on metering, maintenance isolation, pigging, emergency shutdown and emergency blowdown duties.

For flange assembly, explore how MTE automatically directs torque to the bolt with the least resistance, then shifts to the next loosest bolt as tightening resistance increases.

Introducing MTE for coordinated flange tightening

BridgeFlow announced its Mechanical Torque Equalization system in connection with OTC 2026. With a single drive input, MTE automatically directs torque to the bolt with the least resistance. As the torque required to turn that bolt rises, the system automatically redirects torque to the next loosest bolt.

The system responds to changing resistance as fasteners engage. Its purpose is to support a more consistent tightening process and reduce repeated tool repositioning. Results depend on the joint configuration and assembly procedure.

Model Y recognized by ASME for innovation

BridgeFlow’s Model Y mechanized ball valve received the Best Innovation award in the 2024 ASME Best Mechanical Engineering Awards.

The recognition highlights the valve’s approach to industrial isolation: retracting the sealing segments before rotation and mechanically engaging them once the ball is closed.

For BridgeFlow, this milestone reinforces the value of re-examining established mechanisms and developing practical alternatives for demanding industrial duties.

BridgeFlow receives OTC Spotlight recognition

BridgeFlow was named a recipient of the 2024 Spotlight on New Technology® Small Business Award at the Offshore Technology Conference.

The announcement, made on 27 March 2024, recognized BridgeFlow’s contribution to valve technology and provided an opportunity to introduce the Model Y concept to the offshore energy community.
